So I got GTA V recently and it being a 65GB game means I simply dont have the patience for my internet to download it (internet maxes out at 150KBs. Yeah. I know....). So I brought my laptop to a friends with good internet and downloaded it there. Now I am back home with my laptop and my desktop. I need to get it into my Steamapps folder on my desktop which I know is possible. I have tried moving files over LAN and succesfully have gotten pictures over onto my main desktop from my laptop but I can not get the whole game over because I can only open shared files in Windows Media Player and dont have an "Open with" option. It seems the only things u can open with WMP are "Music" "Videos" "Pictures" and "Recorded TV". I just really want help with this. All help is very much appreciated.

The absolutely easiest way to do it is just connect an external drive, copy, connect it to desktop, copy into that steamapps folder

If you must use your network, just set up a shared folder and COPY THE FILES INTO THE COMPUTER. You should NEVER try to put game files on a network drive for actual use!
