Steam - Moving Install Folder to another Drive

I just got my new SSD in today and wanted to mover the CoD WWII game to it so I used the Steam Move Install Folder option.

CoD has both a single-player and multi-player installation. I did single-player first. I was planning to do the multi-player immediately after, but the files are missing. They seem to be with the moved folders, but Steam does not recognize them and is re-downloading the multi-player.

Is this just a failed way to move a game like this?

*Worst part is single-player won't run without multi-player game files. 🙁

It gave you the option to move the folder in pieces? That doesn't make sense as game breaking errors can occur with even a single file missing regardless of if the part your are in needs that file.

You did the move as described? https://www.ghacks.net/2017/01/21/move-installed-steam-games-to-a-new-folder/

There are two entry's in the Steam Library,

Call Of Duty WWII
Call Of Duty WWII - Multiplayer

as it is with other of CoD games.

Yes I moved the game as described in the link above. It completed, but the multiplayer local files said it was still in the original location; however, they were not. When launched it will download the multi-player, which is 37GB, meaning I won't be playing tonight.

[strike]But the files seem to be in the moved folder, because it is 68GB in size. [/strike] Nope, they aren't there. I just searched and it says 90GB required on PC. I guess I'll be re-downloading them. I knew I should have backed up and reinstalled. :/
