Steam not picking up my voice

I have been searching for an answer and its been about a week since the problem has risen.

Please help.

The problem is that every VoIP programme and game except Skype will not pick up my voice. I have tried switching ports from front to back of my computer and even into my keyboard but nothing appears to work. I have also have tried switching from my Astro A40's to my Kraken 7.1 Neon and still nothing.

Finally fixed

i just had to unistall my audio device in device manager then restarted my computer.
