My friend has a 2003 Honda Accord that has an old setup that uses an Apple 30-pin to stereo adapter/cable so that a phone could both charge as well as play music through the car.
The issue is that the cable is broken and 30-pin end does not work with new iPhones, which use lightning instead. I cannot find out what exact type of stereo cable this is.

Here's what the stereo end looks like ---> https://www.dropbox.com/s/pnhjfnzkmjet3zv/cable.jpg?dl=0

It has 10 pins with a gap on the left side.
Does anyone know what exact type this cable is or if there is such a cable that goes from that to lightning?
If such a thing doesn't exist, can someone tell me where I can get on that at least goes to the old 30-pin? (that way I can just use a 32 to lighting adapter)

Any and all help is appreciated!

  • I'm not overly confident that they can help you due to the age of the car, but maybe check in with your local Honda dealer. You never know if they are a good dealership, they might be able to make a few phone calls for you and help you get what you need or provide you with some information.
  • Another place to put your query on is Whirlpool Forums in the automotive forums sections. It is a long shot but people might be able to help you with that. The members have good knowledge on cars, insurance, parts etc. and guide you on the right path.
