Stop youtube autoload, autostart.

How do I stop Youtube videos from auto-playing/auto-loading when I open my browser. I have my browser setup to "continue where I left off" so when I open FF, Chrome... the tab that was playing a video before automatically starts playing whether the tab is current or not. If I refresh the tab it will also start playing. Not to be confused with "auto-play next video" that I have turned off. TIA

FF , about:config, confirm, search for media.autoplay.enabled to false blocks any video stream from autoplay.
