Replace would make it your C: drive, but adding would make it D:. So is your C: full? Can things be easily moved to a different drive ?

Well, there are 2 x M.2 NVMe sockets so nothing is stopping you to get any capacity NVMe SSD. in second socket.

1) You could simply add a 1tb m.2.
Use it for the added storage.
2) You could buy a 2tb m.2 and clone your C drive to it. That gets you 2tb of space more.
The addition to the C drive plus the space from reusing your original c drive.
