Storage thing from synology 4TB

Hello guys, today i was looking through some old stuff and i found this thing: http://. Is this only a storage device or something else ? Thanks!

It's hard to tell from your pictures, but the front looks like it says DS410. If so, unfortunately this is one of their weaker models using a single-core Power (RISC) processor running at 1.06 GHz.

The Synology NASes are very flexible with a lot of supported functions beyond merely acting as a file server. They run Linux under the hood, so basically anything you can do in Linux, you can do on a Synology. But due to the slow processor in this model, it's mostly going to be limited to file hosting tasks. File serving speed is also limited by the slow processor - reviews say about 25-60 MB/s.
