Question Storage

I've been using a LENOVO GEN 2 laptop for 1 month.It has 8GB RAM but when i go to task manager it shows 5.9GB and 64% of that are using that time though i was not running any software or application at that moment,can anyone please help me?

Probably integrated graphics is reserving portion of ram.

2GB is hardware reserved. Most likely for integrated graphics.

Check BIOS for options to change iGPU allocated frame buffer size.

I can add another 8GB RAM ,will it change this ?or the integrated graphics will take same percentage of RAM?
pc details shows i have 2GB VRAM.

That will increase total ram size.
But 2GB will still be reserved for iGPU use.
