Hi,
I've just started an amazon and I'm avoiding the ice tree in favour of
the magic arrow and strafe line. This is new to me so I've been
reading previous postings on this kind of bowazon. Strangely, the
consensus seems to be Guided Arrow as the main attack with Strafe or
Multishot as back up. I just got Strafe yesterday and I can't imagine
why anyone would use anything else! To see my little girl spinning and
firing madly is really cool! She is a mana-hog though, so I do have a
couple points in Magic Arrow for when I'm short and low on mana. It
works well on single enemies as well, but I'm in Kurast and single
enemies are few and far between!

My question is: Why would you use Mutishot Arrow as opposed to Strafe?
Strafe seem so superior to Multishot. Aside from the obvious more
arrows per shot with Strafe, there must be something I don't know about
damage or something that might make Multishot preferable. I also don't
know why I would use Guided Arrow instead of Strafe as my main attack.

Thanks, Phyrie

I do appreciate how many times this question has been asked. I did a
search of the group and found lots of good information. But I have
also noticed that depending on what year and what version the question
was asked the answers vary considerably. One year Strafe was the way
to go, but the next it was Multi. I guess I should have asked if the
older info was still applicable with 1.11. Thanks for the link, and
taking the time to answer me, even though it's been done to death!

Use Magic Arrow for large one-on-one encounters. Use Strafe/Multi for
multiple enemies depending on how they are layed out I suppose.

I had many of these same types of questions... and some were answered
here:

There are various other discussions there that might help you as well.

I'm wondering how many times we've done the Strafe VS Multiple Shot discussion
in AGD/AGD2 now.

Regardless, Samiel posted a link to a decent thread on the subject, so I'll
simply tender a "ditto" instead.

Sure sure. And I wasn't getting at you for asking the question, I was merely
thinking out loud. :)
