Question Strange and annoying problem when dragging files, pictures and videos with the mouse ?

Often, when I dragging files, pictures, videos and even shortcuts, this is what happens:

What you see me doing is dragging files with the mouse pointer. After a while, the file disappears from the mouse pointer. This prevents me from dragging videos to upload to Youtube and from dragging pictures to websites for uploading.
Why?

try a different mouse, maybe the button of the mouse is faulty

The mouse is relatively new Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse 2.0.
Don't expecting it to have problematic left button.

There are a few options:

- Try the mouse on a different machine and see if it results in the same problem, if it DOES, it's a faulty mouse
- Have you uninstalling drivers for the mouse in Device Manager, restarting, then seeing if the issue persists?

My bet is, you could possibly have a faulty mouse even with it being new.. it's not unheard of

Possible mouse problem mentioned: Does this issue or similar issues occur in other programs or games when you attempt to click + holding down while moving mouse ?

If the answer is "don't know" or "cannot test" then I suggest you borrow a different mouse for testing.

Update: There are high chances that the problem is indeed the mouse, as I've discovered that when I gently tap the left button, there are no problems, and when I strongly press the left button, this problem occurs.
