I just built my firs pc specs include i5-7600k, gtx 1060 6gb, 16gb ddr4 ram hooked up to a 144hz monitor.
I get this strange green static screen under 3 conditions that i have found so far, i can see the intended display behind the static as well.
When starting battlefield 4
When starting arma 3
And when turning my settings up to display above 60hz
Oddly enough my other two games (overwatch and fortnite) do not have this issue
I cant be solved for bf4 by shrinking the screen to a window than going back to full screen, picture becomes crystal clear and this is no big deal.
Arma Takes more effort to work around because i have to get behind my rig and unplug my dvi cable and plug it back in but the picture goes back to normal and is just fine
However for competitive games like Overwatch i would like to have higher frame rate and whenever i turn my settings to above 60hz i.e. 100,120, or the desired 144 i get that same screen even on my desktop with no games running.
I appreciate any and all help because this is my first pc and it is fairly discouraging when something i worked hard to save up for and put together doesn’t work as intended
