Yesterday, I noticed a noise coming from my computer that seems to start after I log in, and continues until I shut my PC down. It's difficult to describe the noise, but I'll do my best: it's a moderately loud humming/whining noise that has a "droning" quality to it. It happens at a continuous pitch, and it occasionally will falter slightly every so often before starting up again. I've tried multiple times to record it, but it always comes out extremely quiet in the recordings. I'm not sure if this is a normal noise for a computer to be making, but either way, it's extremely irritating. If anyone has any ideas as to what could be causing it, please let me know.
Here's the best recording I could manage to get of the sound. If you listen over the white noise, you can sort of hear the humming. It's a lot louder in person.

Edit: I should mention that the noise happens regardless of load. It happens while idle, while playing games, while editing, etc. and does not change.
Thank you!
