Strange Lag In Grand Theft Auto V

Hello everyone, I have recently encountered a strange issue in GTA where my game has been lagging. I am running a GTX 1070 at what I think are the default clock settings. I have grass quality set at only normal and other settings turned down, but I am still lagging at 1080p. My biggest frame drops are when I am indoors, driving, or anywhere near grass. It is becoming extremely frustrating and I don't know how to fix it.
Specs:
i7 7700k
GTX 1070
16GB DDR4 3200 mhz
Asus Z-170 mobo
Game and OS installed on Samsung 850 pro 512 GB SSD
NO VIRUSES

Let Geforce Experience set the graphics settings for the game. It has always done a good job job for me.

If there is still a lag or stutter then turn down the grass quality one increment. Also try lowering the population density. If you can drive on the beach with no lags then the grass setting is probably your problem.

You have to increase settings not decrease them(except grass) ,GTA has a serious issue with it's main thread causing trouble if it's running full speed,lower FPS from a bottlenecked GPU will fix this.

You can also tweak the thread itself and not loose FPS.
