My current motherboard measures in at 23.4 x 23.4 cm (W x L) but the motherboard I'm looking at, measures in at 23.4 x 20.3 cm (W x L)

My case is a Micro ATX form factor. Is it possible for this new motherboard to fit, or would I be looking at some problems? Please reply asap, thank you for your time.

Solution
Since the new motherboard has a shorter length it may have a different configuration for the standoffs. Likely the case has the right mounting holes, you'd just need to changed where the stand off's are. Link the motherboard and case and we might be able to tell you more than a vague maybe.

you know I was just thinking and it popped into mind was the asrock z77 extreme 4 board . it was larger than a m-atx board but not quite full atx size but it mounted as full atx case standard and was called / speced an atx board

did you look at your case spec sheet to see if its only m-atx ?? some can do m-atx and atx depends on how they made it ??

Thanks for your response, but as I just stated earlier, the project is on hold now, and I have no idea how long it's going to be before I can pick it up again, but if you really want to know what my case is.

it's the case from the Compaq Evo D500, however it claims to be Micro ATX, it seems to be proprietary with the screw positioning. I'll link an example image of the original motherboard, and you can compare it to another socket 478 Micro ATX mothrboard. Chances are it will require case modding as the screws don't appear to line up.

Example 2

At any rate, the project is on hold as of now.
