[SOLVED] Strange ping spikes occuring in Discord and games

I get ping spikes when im voice chating in Discord or playing games. This problem started after i moved my pc to another room.
I've tested alot of different tips and tricks all over the internet but i cant get my internet to work.
This problem is only on my pc since I dont have any spikes on my laptop.

There's clearly spikes, but what does this results actually mean? And how can I fix it?

My last choice is to factory reset my pc, but does that even work?

You need to test this on a ethenet cable. Since I can't think of anyway to get ping spike that high on ethernet you have to be running this test on wifi.

Although these are huge it is not uncommon for wifi interference to cause this. It could also be a wifi driver issue so be sure you have the latest ones for the chipset. You do not want the generic ones windows 10 sometimes installs.

You're correct. I got a USB wireless adapter and i did this tests with 5g wifi.
The thing is that i had the same problem with ethernet cable. Probably not that high spikes, but still spikes.

I will test to remove the generic drivers.

If you got a ping to your router ip on a ethernet cable it is extremely strange. The cable itself will never delay traffic, it might cause it to be lost if there are errors but the cable itself always transfers data a fixed rate.

This leaves either you router is for some reason delaying sending a response or it sends it correctly but the PC delays taking it out of its buffer. The pc in effect lies about when it receives it.

Neither of these is very likely and since no other device is affected it is not likely your router.

Finding a bug like this in a pc is going to be very hard.
