Hey guys. I recently put together my new gaming PC last week. Everything has been going fine, but I've had a few moments where my PC completely froze up. I decided to check out my CPU temps, so I got SpeedFan. This is what I see:
GPU: 33C
Temp1: 36C
Temp2: 127C <----WTF?
Temp3: 23C
HD0: 26C
Core 0: 31C
Core 1: 31C
Core 2: 31C
Core 3: 32C
I'm using an i5-2500k, a GTX 560 Ti SC, 8gb of DDR3 1333 ram, corsair 650w psu, and a hyper 212 cpu cooler, all on a z68a-d3h-b3 mobo. I haven't overclocked anything, but for some reason CPU-Z is showing my multiplier jump between x16 and x35, going from 1.6Ghz to 3.6Ghz.
Anyway, the main thing I was wondering about is the temperature. I have no idea what this could be, or why its at 127C. It says its on the IT8728F chip, ISA bus, and $290 address. I have no idea what these things are, I'm just trying to understand what could possibly be running at 127c without my board melting.
