Having problem getting good video over my network, large files skip and stutter.
I have wrt1900ac router and the wrt switch, all gigabit. Using cat6 cables. NAS is netgear readynas rn104 and media player is ac ryan playon mini.
Almost all files over 10GB stutter, under that if it does stutter its not noticable.
Im thinking it the router because I get a intermediate skip with ip camera. Everything is hardwired with cat6

When you cable multiple devices to the router you are only using the lan switch inside the router. In many cases it is a separate chip you do not even pass thought he router chip. Even then your router has been tested to be able to pass 900mbit from wan-lan so the router should never be your bottleneck

The NAS in general should be able to keep up with video, it is extremely complex since so much depends on how the video is encoded but that nas can easily send more than 100mbit that most blue ray can do. Still it is dependent to a point on what type of drives you put in the NAS and what kind of raid you configured.

I would be most suspect of the media box because it has the most work to do. It must actually get the data and convert it to a format the tv can use.
