So I'm looking to upgrade my PC to be able to stream and game and I'm seeing ALOT of mixed reviews on different sites. I'm not looking to OC everything will stay stock because I just don't trust myself to OC.

I mainly plan to stream CS:GO / COD:WWII / GTA V (FiveM mod)

Streaming software will be Streamlabs OBS, all games will be running on pretty much low settings (I don't care for fancy shiny things over fps)

i5 8600k + 1060 6gb or i7 7700k +1060 6gb

Then AMD 2600 is a much better choice in that price range. If it must be Intel then the 8700 (non k) would be fine as you don’t want to overclock. You can also use a cheaper motherboard as you are not overclocking.

Will the AMD 2600 be fine to stream and play those games at the same time without Issue? Also what mobo would you suggest?

Yes the AMD has more cores and threads so is better for gaming and streaming together than the 7700 & 8600 but the 8700 is slightly better. For pure gaming the Intels are slightly better but gaming + streaming then the extra cores of the AMD take the lead.

To be honest I haven’t done a lot of research on Ryzen motherboards so will let someone else suggest a good one.

I found a bundle on Amazon that Includes the i7 8700k, so I'm probably going to buy that when I've got the dosh. Thanks for your advice. :)

I was just told by a friend about perhaps getting a i7 6700k for streaming and gaming. Do you know much about that CPU?

Quick question as I haven't had the funds to buy anything yet. Would an i7 5820k or 6700k be able to stream and game at the same time or should I just stick with the 8700k?

I have a bad memory, you're right. I already asked regarding the 6700k. My bad, sorry.

I'm looking too buy something longterm, hence why I was gonna go with the 8700k so I could make sure I wouldn't run Into Issues streaming and playing.

This setup long term is even better due to the 8 cores and 16 threads.

Sorry to bump an old thread, just want to ask will the ThermalTake Contac21 be good enough to cool an 8700k whilst streaming and gaming?
