I'm not a gamer. I just watch movies. I have an old HTPC which does the job so I've no desire to upgrade.

Windows 10, Firefox, AMD HD6450. Passively cooled Intel E6700.

I've noticed that GPUZ reports 0% GPU load when running in full screen mode. I only noticed this because Mozilla blocklisted the driver after releasing webrender. As a result the browser resorted to basic compositing causing the CPU to run hot. I circumvented the driver issue and everything works fine. However, in full screen mode the GPU load drops to 0% but CPU utilisation does not increase.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You can use Task Manager's resource monitor(performance tab), to tell you what your GPU usage is, to corroborate your findings on GPU-Z. On that note, what version of Windows 10 are you working with? We're currently on version 20H2.

Make and model of your PSU and it's age?

Does the issue crop up with another web browser?
