Streaming videos loading but not playing

Hi all,

I have been using win 10 with great success and had few problems till date. Until this Monday when for no reason my streaming videos (YouTube, twitch, etc) stopped working properly.

What happens is they load and you can see the bar loading, but they do not play. Also if I let them load for a while I can jump forward to a paused frame, which won't play anything else. And when I try to play live things it just hangs on the first frame that appears.

This happens in any browser I have. I mainly use Firefox, however Edge doesn't want to help me either.

I have tried running videos that I have downloaded on my pc and they run perfectly.

I googled around for solutions and tried the following:
Updated my graphics card.
Updated VLC.
Updated my codecs.
Updated Flash
Ran CCleaner (cleaning cookies and cache)
Increased my virtual memory
Disabled hardware acceleration
Disabled all my extensions on Firefox (don't have any on edge)

This is happening now on and off. It will work and then without me doing anything it stops. Sound will disable as well.

Sounds like a plugin that causing the problem, are you able to roll back to a time before this happened?

Unfortunately no. But I haven't installed any new plugins on firefox.

that didn't help. As I have already updated flash as I said and the real player only substituted vlc

Can It be a sound related issue? All drivers are updated
