Stronghold Crusader II low fps

Hey people.
I'm confused because I got above recommended system for Crusader II, and I have low fps on 1080p medium settings, also have tried much lower but not so much difference, i am getting only 5-25fps, if the map has more enemies and troops, it goes even lower with lower cpu and gpu usage, weird or what? Have checked for gpu and cpu temps and it's totally ok with 40C on the cpu and 55-60C on the gpu and I did HDD tests and it's also ok with no bad sectors and 100% health and performance. I'm running latest crusader II version.

My system:
Amd phenom II x4 945 at 3.3GHz
2x4GB ddr2 kingston
Powercolor Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5
LC power silent series 5550 v2.2 "550w"
Motherboard: MSI K9N6PGM2-V2

What could be wrong here? Thanks!

My first guess would be that video card! 1GB of DDR5 is not going to cut it at 1080p.

But recommended gpu for this game is geforce gts 450 which is a bit weaker than my gpu, so I should be able to run it in FHD on medium at least 35-45fps, not this c*ap with 5 to 25 fps with more troops, it's weird, even low usage shows something not right, Anyone else?
