Struggling making a ASUS RT166 an ACCESS POINT and print server

I am having trouble getting my ASUS RT166 to serve as the Access Point. I just picked up a new ASUS AC3100 for my whole house and want to put the 166 in the den to serve as an access point and a print server. I thought I followed the instructions properly. I made the AP 192.168.1.2 - The Router is set to range starting at 192.168.1.3. I thought I even set the channels differently. Any help appreciated.

What symptom(s) are you getting? Not able to get to the admin page via wired? Did you set the SSID to a unique name so that it is easy to identify what you are wirelessly connected to?
