Stuck at low resolution!! [HELP]

Ok so first post here...

Recently started gaming on the pc, i had a 20" monitor hooked up but then i brought a new 23" acer monitor, set it all up and its all good, then nvidia does an update... so i update... the screen flashes off like it normally does when im updating the GPU. Only this time when it comes back its in 1024x768 and it was in 1080p before...

Things i have tried...
1. roll back update
2. tried to change back to 1080p in the nvidia control center
3 changed monitor back (which comes up in 1080p btw)
4. changed hdmi
5 connected to tv (comes up in 1080p)

i have windows 10 and a nvidia gtx 750

Have you tried getting a new driver for it?

Yes new drive, I used a program to wipe nvidia from my PC... All drivers ... Then got the latest.

Is it just the monitor? If it works on the tv but not on the monitor then it is something with it or anything you have assigned to it, have you gone through the settings using the buttons usually on the sides or bottom? What do you mean tried to change it back to 1080p (monitor)? What happened, any messages, did it not apply the setting, what?

No no I believe it to be the monitor as I have setup the 19" and no problems ... And after some research the monitor doesn't like Windows 10... What a shocker...
