[SOLVED] Stuck at "Scanning and repairing drive"

Well.. I'm technically using windows 8.1 but I couldn't find a category for it.

I wrote this command on cmd: chkdsk C: /f /r /x

I then restarted my computer, and now it's stuck at: " Scanning and repairing drive (C: ): 10% complete."

What do I do?
Should I force restart it or wait?

It's not stuck anymore my cat pulled the plug.

I was doing it because my hard drive was louder than usual

Restart your computer. Press Esc or Enter to stop chkdsk from running (if it tries to). Run the Disk Cleanup utility to clear out junk files. Open an elevated CMD, type sfc /scannow, followed by Enter to run the System File Checker.
