Hi all, I am not sure if this is the correct threat to post this, so please let me know if it is not.

This is the first time I am building a gaming PC, and I connected everything correctly with a help from a friend and when we try to start up the PC, it is stuck on VGA and nothing is displayed on the monitor.

We took it apart and put it back together with the same issue. I returned the motherboard and processor and got replacements, and still the same issue.

I searched through the web and tried some of the troubleshooting I found, but the issue still remains.

I am not an expert on building gaming PC's by any means, so any help will be appreciated!

Hi, I tried on my ASUS VS247 monitor, but also tried on my HDTV's with same result.

I also tried booting with one stick of ram with same result.

Not sure what you mean by clearing CMOS. I apologize, I'm new at this :(.

I have not tried booting without hard drives attached yet.

Coin battery? I assume you mean those batteries that were like those in the gameboy cartridges. If thats the case, I do not see one on my motherboard.

Nevermind, I see it. will try your advice.

The battery seems to be attached to motherboard with some tape and not in a socket. How should I remove it without damaging it?
You need to use the "Clear CMOS" jumper JBAT1.

If you are sure the 8-pin power connector is properly plugged into your video card, and the card is properly seated in the x16 slot, you may have no choice but to remove the motherboard from your Thermaltake case and try booting the motherboard outside the case.
Thanks for the help, I will try that once I finish work today (I work from home but now have a meeting) and will let you know how it goes.
