Stupid me opened a .doc email

I stupidly opened a .doc email from a unknow source as it addressed the email by my first name. I opened the .doc file and havn't noticed anything odd on my work laptop which has a enterprise level Mc Afee antivirus.

Is there anything I can do to double check my laptop hasn't been compromised?

There are auto scans and nothing popped up. I'm doing a full drive scan now..
