Hi. I've been struggling with this annoying issue for very long time now. I made all kind of research on the web, I read lots of posts (even here) and so-called fixes but none of them actually works for me.
Here is my issue: when I play 23.976fps videos on my TV from my computer (connected via HDMI) there are regular mini-stutters or frame drops. I tried all kind of players and all kind of setups: VLC, MPC-HC with CCCP, XBMC, all of them with different setups and "fixes".
Also I tried changing my TV frequency on my AMD Catalyst Control Center to 24Hz (the minimum I can get) and retry with all players but it doesn't solve the issue.
With any different configuration I can see a different kind of frame drop: some of them are massive and even a blind man could see it, others are less noticeable, but still unacceptable for a new high-end TV.
By the way, on my monitor the issue doesn't exist at all no matter what player I use.
I tried to resume my issue, since I guess this is a known problem for the experts. I read a lot about the theory of this problem and why it happens but I didn't find anything that could fix it, so I would really appreciate if some "frame expert" could tell me a solution (I hope it exists...).
Thank you.
Right below are all my specifications:

Intel core i7 2600 3.40 GHz
16Gb RAM DDR3
AMD Radeon 7950
Monitor Samsung SyncMaster XL2370
