Stutter on high FPS whilst streaming

So straight to the point, I'm trying to become a more consistent streamer using OBS and Twitch. But when I have my stream open (even on lowest resolution) or my OBS window open on my 2nd monitor. My main monitor lags/stutters even though it's saying I get 100-200FPS. It makes the game absolutely impossible to play!

The only way I can play my games flawlessly whilst streaming is if I;
-Disconnect my 2nd Monitor
-Disable the live preview on OBS
-Pause my Twitch Stream

I'll add my specs below
CPU: i7 4790k
GPU: GTX 970
16GB RAM

download rate = 40mbps
upload rate = 15mbps

BenQ XL2411T & BenQ XL2411Z
One is linked via HDMI with DVI adapter.
Main monitor is linked via DVI.
Main: 144Hz
2nd: 60Hz

I've had my task manager open whilst trying the stream and when the stuttering occurs. And my CPU goes up to 60% usage.

I can try and ellaborate for anyone willing to help. But will have to answer when I'm on my PC again as it's 6am now and need sleep. Thank you in advance to all willing to sort this monster out 😍

It's very possible that your CPU or GPU is too slow for what you are doing.

Streaming/encoding from the same machine does add a large workload to your GPU/CPU, this why why you will often see streamers are using a dedicated streaming computer, or a cheaper solution like a capture card.

I can stream and play on 1 monitor absolutely fine though, it's only when I use my 2nd monitor as a preview of what I am streaming :/
