Stuttering, FPS drop, CPU/GPU temps fine

I've encountered this problem ever since i first built my computer, in high end games such as Dying light, Battlefield 4, GTA 5, my computer would often occasionally fps drop from 60 to 15-20, and it doesn't matter what i'm looking at in the game or doing, it just happens on random occasions.

Over an hour it just gets worse and it becomes from frequent dropping almost ever 30 seconds. I've tried to check the temps and they all seem fine. I've reinstalled the graphic driver several times and siabled AMD Cool and Quiet and AMD turbo core technology which helped significantly but i'm still experiencing the problem.

Whats annoying is that the temperatures seem to be stable, so i'm really confused on what the problem could be.

Here is my specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0Ghz 8-Core

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0

CPU Cooler: Corsair CWCH55 H55 Universal Hydro High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

PSU: EVGA 500B (100-B1-0500-KR) 500Watt 80Plus Bronze Power Supply Unit

RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

If i'm missing anything please tell me, also any suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

You've got a board with poor quality vrm's with a high wattage/voltage fx 8core CPU.
Dropping a water cooler on it them removes any secondary air cooling from those vrm's that an air cooler would have given.
The vrm area is very likely to be getting too hot over that hour of game time & then throttling the CPU - this will be the big fps drops you're experiencing.

Thanks for the reply, finally have somewhat of an idea what the issue is. Should i change the water cooler to stock? Should i change my motherboard? I'm still not sure what to do. Is it possible to slow down my CPU? Thanks in advance

Ideally a different motherboard mate to get the most from the 8350.

To get rid of the throttling currently drop into bios.

Reset to defaults.

Disable turbocore/boost
Disable c1e states.

There should be an option under CPU/advanced to disable cores - enable this & disable cores 6 & 7.

This should lower the voltage & power draw of the CPU & remove that throttling.

I'm now using 6 cores, and i've disabled turbocore/boost and the c1e states was default disabled. I started playing GTA and when i thought i fixed it, my core voltage still drops. It drops to roughly from 1320 to 0.888 and core speed goes from 3990mhz to 1396mhz. Its much less frequent but still occurs.. Any suggestions?

I ended up fixing it. I turned down the voltage using AMD overdrive. I'll try to turn the voltage back to original and try out the tweaker anyway see if it works. Thanks for your help matt!
