I've been playing SP Diablo2 LOD for the past month quite happily.
I've just got to Act 2 Quest 1 Radament's Lair and I'm beginning to
experience stuttering quite badly. I looked up the archives of this
NG in Google but can't find any real solution. Can anyone help.
Thanks.

Whether it relates to your situation or not, I had the same thing happen to
me because I had my hard drive set to de-frag once a month automatically.
It seems that when your D2 files get moved around just a bit, the game
stutters like crazy. I know, counter-intuitive to think that ORGANIZING
your hard drive would make you game run worse, but I suspect if you turn off
defrag and re-install your game, you might find the problem has disappeared.

Anex....Explodeazon, but please do investigate and ask around further.
Perhaps your problem is not related to that at all.

Run the video test, and change to a different display mode, maybe even
DirectDraw. That works for me.

Ah, Information. A property, too valuable these days, to give it away,
just so, at no cost.

This has happened to me on several occasions as well and it was due to
my AntiVirus scanning my files. Everytime I tabbed out of the game,
sure enough, the scanner was working and soon as I stopped it, then
the stuttering stops.

It happened to me tonight. I though it was my mouse. I put the game on pause
and changed the batteries in my mouse. But it still did it. When I quit the
game, Norton said it did a virus scan on my files.
