Question Sub $400 pc build not showing signal to monitor hdmi

I built a sub $400 pc from this web site.https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/build-gaming-pc-under-500

Ryzen 5 5600G
Asrock B450M HDV 4.0
ThermalTake Smart 430 W PSU
Crucial 2x 8GB DDR4 RAM stick 3200 (the site recommended 2 x 4GB)
TeamGroup MP33 512G SSD
Aerocool Cylon RGB mid tower case (the site recommended a different case)

fans are running but no signal to monitor from HDMI cable.
Since this was a recommendation from this site has anyone tried this config and got it working ?

You most likely need to update the bios for Ryzen 5000 support on 450 chipset boards.
You can check the box or motherboard to see what bios it shipped with.
If you look here you need P4.5 bios or newer for 5600G support.

Thanks for the response- but I dont see the bios version anywhere on the board or the box. I also do not have a way to upgrade the BIOS. since it does not display anything on the monitor.
This was the recommended config on the website and I used the link to purchase the item.
Is there a different similar priced motherboard which will work out of box?

The link literally tells you to make sure to buy the R4.0 version if you have no ability to update the BIOS. Did you use the exact link to buy that exact motherboard from that exact site?

Apparently R4.0 is not the right product!

This has been resolved by upgrading to a B550 motherboard.
GIGABYTE B550M DS3H (AM4 AMD/B550/Micro ATX/Dual M.2/SATA 6Gb/s/USB 3.2 Gen 1/PCIe 4.0/HMDI/DVI/DDR4/Motherboard)
