Subwoofer loud humming

Yamaha Subwoofer YST-SW015 loud humming even it is not connected to receiver.
Just recently humming started when not in use for almost a couple of months. Power ON then humming starts and getting louder when touching the cable ends.pls could someone help me in this regard? Thanks.

Check the power cord and the outlet ground.

You will need a meter for this.

If you don't have one.....try a different power cable and a different outlet.
