Hopefully this is the right place to ask, been trying to troubleshoot and figure out what's going on but cannot seem to figure out the issue with my subwoofer. I'm not too great at home theater stuff so asking here. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the sub is just blown.

Here is a video as well as an attached links to the equipment and a quick
recording of the hum -

Audio- https://clyp.it/cjgqzrwp

The sub gives out a weird vibrating/rumble sound regardless of how I turn up the gain or anything on it.

The sub I have is https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Sub-12HG-Synergy-300-Watt-Subwoofer/dp/B003VIWK0G/ref=sr_1_6?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1485670571&sr=1-6&refinements=p_4%3AKlipsch

this is the receiver https://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR505-Receiver-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B000OBOGEG

--------

I've tried a new rca cable.
Moving the wire from lfe to input on the sub both the same result as well as the phase and just about every setting on the receiver possible.
No matter what I do it gives this awful hum/rumble without any bass. The other 5 speakers for the surround work great.

Any ideas? If it is the sub, is it an easy fix or worth saving?

Solution
What is the change event here? new receiver, new sub, new cable, moved location???

You said you tried switching the phase?
Have you made sure none of your receiver settings got messed with?
Is the sub connected to same power strip or outlet as the receiver to prevent any potential ground loop issues?

At this point I would check/replace that fuse, plug sub into same outlet as receiver and test for ground loop but otherwise you might very well have a blown amp.

If you have to replace I have really liked my BIC F12: https://www.amazon.com/BIC-America-F12-475-Watt-Subwoofer/dp/B0015A8Y5M/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1493176121&sr=1-1&keywords=bic+f12

Hmmm thought about that but it worked fine with the 2 red males to the single one for the receiver.

This one http://imgur.com/liZQ1wq is what I've had forever and just ordered this new cable to just test it. But with the one posted this used to work it doesn't anymore even if I have both connected or just one

Edit. Well did notice both ends have the left and right connector but I remember initial wiring had just one connected on each end.
