sudden fps drop after playing for sometime

unusual fps drop

i have a asus rog laptop i7-6700hq with gtx 950m 7 months old
i used to get 50-60 fps for all games easily

i was away for 2 weeks and now after 2weeks i tried to play the same games but the fps drops suddenly to 9-13fps [the problem started after being unused for 2 weeks ]

then i Allowed it cool for few minutes And then i tried playing it i got normal 60fps but again after
3-5 minutes , fps dropped to 10fps

i checked the temps
when cpu gpu temp is 45-52c i got 60fps
and when temp reached 54-60c it dropped to 10fps

the problem [low 10fps] starts when cpu and gpu temps rise Above 50c
but earlier even at high temperatures , 60-70c i used to get normal 60fps

pls help i tried updating drivers etc is it fixable and what are the reasons for gpu and cpu throttling
