Question Sudden FPS Drop & Stuttering — Possible Memory Issue?

Hello everyone,

I've recently started experiencing significant frame rate drops and major stuttering in my games over the past few days. I'm suspecting this might be related to my RAM, but I'm not entirely certain.

I bought the PC prebuilt from iBUYPOWER roughly a year and a half ago.

Here are my system specs:
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF
  • Motherboard: ASRock Z790-C
  • Memory: 32GB (2x16GB) Team Group T-Force Delta RGB DDR5-5200MHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 PNY 12GB
I updated the BIOS around the time the issue started. After the update, all BIOS settings were reset to default, so I manually set XMP back to Profile 1. That is the only BIOS setting I changed after the update.

XMP is enabled in BIOS. Resizable BAR is also enabled.

I've already run memory diagnostics and stress testing, and everything checked out fine. I also did a full wipe of my SSD and reinstalled Windows completely since the issue began.

This is the system in-game under stress (see attached image). CPU and GPU temps look good, and usage is reasonable. I don’t use any RGB software and have hardly any background processes running.

Could these memory settings or performance metrics indicate the issue? Or should I be checking other hardware/software factors?

Beyond this, I have no clue what else could be causing the issue.

Any insights or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
