Sudden FPS drops HELP!

i'm using asus gtx 1050ti oc version and i was worried about the fans not spinning and turns out they spins only at a certain tempertaure. Then i downloaded MSI afterburner and up the fan speed by 50%, since then i've been getting fps drops, to like 0 for 3 seconds and then game would resume after that. I googled and seems it means it's throttling or something. Then i turned back the fan speed to default but the fps drop remains. How do i get rid of it?

Did you also manage to overclock the gpu using MSI afterburner? I know, it could be tempting. Throttling occurs when your temps are getting too high so it lowers performance to cool down.

Yeah once but it was only for a short while but i put it back to normal and it did not overheat before. I only messed with the fan speed and now it's throttling i really dont understand this.
