Question Sudden GPU temp spikes/throttling in games

Hi PC community!!

So, I'm getting strange lag spikes all of a sudden in all games. I've got the alphacool AIO for the GTX 1080 TI zotac mini with a 240mm radiator, and suddenly I notice that my temps are spiking to over 94 degrees (usually chilling around 60 degrees). All of the fans are still spinning on the radiator. I'm thinking that maybe the thermal gel has to be replaced, but is it possible that the alphacool AIO pump has simply died on me? Is there any way to check if the pump is dead?

They kinda vibrate like a fish pump..I check them by touch
