Hey y'all, hoping someone can help me figure out the issue here!

As of 2 days ago we had to shut off our power for an electrician to do some work, and I was sure to properly shut down and turn off the power points to be safe beforehand. After rebooting my PC for the first time in a while (maybe a few days and then a few weeks before that as Ive just been putting it to sleep to keep some research open) upon starting most games I am only getting 10-15fps where I used to get hundreds.

The GPU fan does not really kick up like it usually does. I have not done any overclocking of CPU or GPU. All that I have done recently is update my Nvidia drivers and Windows update. I have tried restarting and reinstalling graphics drivers via the Nvidia app with a clean install to no fix. I say most games because I have tried a handful and had a few run fine. Warframe, Dead by Daylight, Baldurs Gate 3, and the Oblivion Remaster are all suffering from this issue, while Vampire Survivors and Team Fortress 2 seem to have no issue at all. I have tried changing Warframe and DBD between dx11 and 12 with no change.

Here is a screenshot of HWInfo while Warframe is open with a frame reader and Im also copying my files a portable harddrive in anticipation of probably needing a full reset or something stupid.

Please help!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Driver v 576.40
Run DDU in Safe Mode to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) then manually install drivers version 566.36 and see if your stability comes back.

You forgot to mention the make, model and age of your PSU.

Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX
BIOS F17b

F17b doesn't exist, which would mean it was replaced due to instability issues. You have BIOS versions pending update. Flash to the latest version.

Thank you I’ll give these a try. I have updated my post to add my model of PSU

Thank you! After following these steps my issue has been resolved.

I updated my bios to current version F20g.
I entered safe mode and used DDU to clean and uninstall drivers and then manually install version 566.36 of Nvidias 3080 drivers.

Question: Regarding future driver update in case that was the solution, what do you recommend is best practice? Should I use Nvidias app that has replaced GFE and maintain regular updates to the newest driver as per its instructions or should I watch a list somewhere that shows the most current stable driver version and update to that as it changes?
