Suddenly lag on computer

So i got a gaming laptop for christmas (ASUS ROG) and after a decent time of playing videogames like cs:go or alien isolation it starts to suddenly massively lag. Its not overheating. My graphics card is NVIDIA 860M

what are your temps and what are you using for a temp monitoring program?

its weird when i connect it to the charger it stops lagging
