Suddenly LG LCD monitor won't turn on?

So My pc worked fine 1 hour ago. Now just when i turn it back on and instantly my house circuit breaker tripped (indicating a short somewhere? ). So i fixed the circuit breaker and now when i turn back on the PC the monitor doesnt show any power.

My pc works fine. I have tested it. Only the monitor doesnt receive any power...tried many outlets.
How do i diagnose it? The monitor power cord or the monitor itself is faulty? Also corcerned about the circuit trip(?). Its a 7 year old LG lcd monitor..

please help

that is a power adapter. do you have or know anybody that has a voltmeter or multi-meter?

Actually I called LG and they came to my place and checked the adapter with a multimeter and it was indeed dead....They replaced it and now its working fine! Thanks for your help though
