hi
i have intel pentium 4 2.66ghz with GC11010N motherboard with 1gb DDR ram operating under windows xp 32bit.
so can i upgrade my ram to ddr3 2gb..?
and can i use ddr3 or ddr2 along ddr ram..?
what is the max ram supports to my computer if i upgrade to windows7.?

Sorry.. its not possible because,

1.If you have to upgrade to DDR2 or DDR3 -> you need to change your mother board. bec its a old model it wont support new generation RAM types like ddr2 or ddr3 ..

2. newer motherboard is not compatible with your processor socket.

3. No you cant mix DDR2 & DDR3

but

No problem with windows 7 its even support 32GB also.

If you want upgrade Now, you should buy processor, RAM, Motherboard. Combined.

No, as mentioned in the earlier post it won't work because of those reasons. DDR2 or DDR3 or DDR will not work when mixed together and there isn't much motherboard that gives that option except LGA 775 series ones.

BTW, GC11010N is the BIOS version not the motherboard model number, I think the right motherboard model number is D101GGC .

The max your motherboard (system) supports is 2GB regardless of the windows you install. Click here > if you want to get a idea of what type of memory your system supports. Hope that helps
