suggestion needed for a roumour i heard!

hello guys im trying to buy a saphire amd/ati 7770 for my pc..

pc config is-core i3 3220
motherboard-dh61ww.....i was told that if i add an external gpu like the saphire my onboard graphics would also add the new gpu is this anyway possible?? it doesnt make a diffrence but id just like to know

No. only 1 graphics resource will be utilize at once. if u add dedicated gpu(amd 7770) the dedicated graphics hd2500 will b disabled but thats not a issue

As per the OP, when you add an external graphics card you have to switch your monitor cable to connect to the graphics card rather than the motherboard. When you do this, only your external card is being used. If you keep the cord connected to the motherboard, only the integrated graphics on your CPU is used and not the new external card.
