Hello Community,

I am building a budget PC for gaming, already purchased RTX 3060ti and I5-12400F.
Now I'm searching for a budget mobo, not looking for anything fancy, just want this mobo to be durable and to give good performance.
So far it seems H610 and B760 feels in budget.
I have shortlisted a few :

https://amzn.in/d/04fLQwFU MSI PRO H610M-E DDR4 - ₹6,175 - $73.90
https://amzn.in/d/09J5426D MSI PRO H610M-E DDR5 - ₹6,999 - $83.76
https://amzn.in/d/05u3sCdJ MSI PRO B760M-E DDR4 - ₹9,380 - $112.25
https://amzn.in/d/0caAHVKr MSI PRO B760M-E DDR5 - ₹10,400 - $124.46
Personally, i feel the MSI PRO H610M-E DDR5 is a good choice since i am getting ddr5 and also cheap.
i am not going to upgrade my pc atleast for 5 6 years, so not looking for futureproof.

Need suggestions!

H610 chipset is as barebones as it gets. So, if you want cheap, go for that.

B760 has more features and is more reliable, that the cheapest of the cheap. So, you have a tradeoff, cheap price - low reliability; higher price - good reliability. Up to you.

For maybe a cheaper price than B760, look towards B660 chipset MoBos. Those do support DDR5 as well but can be cheaper than B760 chipset.
Compatible B660 MoBos with DDR5 support: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#mt=ddr5&c=154&sort=name&page=1

I have done some searching and here in india B660 is not easily available(online), and also same or costly then B760 chipset.

Well, yeah, price depends on where you live.

So, if you want better reliability, go with B760 chipset. Though, Z690 and Z790 are at the top in terms of features and build quality. But those also cost the most and aren't suited for mid-tier CPUs per se. Z-series MoBos are better suited for high-end CPUs, especially those with K-suffix.
