Need a little help. My current build is:
8 gb RAM (2x 4gb Corsair Vengeance)
Geforce 550 Ti
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850
Gigabyte GA-G41MT-USB3

Yes, very old build and as usual, very low budget. I have about $300 to spare and would like to upgrade my biggest bottleneck so far, the processor (at least to my knowledge and whats been happening in games lately)
I am planning on upgrading the video card in about 6 months but right now the main focus is board and processor. Really don't want to exceed the 400 mark. Plus Black Friday is coming in so i can improve a bit.

Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance

Motherboard supports only 8gb slow ram. If you wan't to switch the CPU for something better you need a new mobo, if you get new mobo + cpu then you would better change the ram as well. With $300-400 all you would do is waste money. Better save up more and buy a whole new pc instead of buying parts which you will have to change in 12-18 months again.

I know i need to switch mobo, thing is most new pcs around are like 700. and they're not that awesome.

Itll have to make do for the next year or so... Cant push it

Yeeeah, not so sure. Cooling wise, my pc sucks... It gets super hot running any game even using the arctic freezer 7... Took that cpu from a friends build that he didnt need anymore so its probably "worn down"...

Reason why i want cpu, mobo and Case switch... Air flow sucks where the case is placed... Its one of those old huge wood desks where its almost fully covered in all but the front
