Seriously? Lots of people told me to go for the Dell Ultrasharp 3008 30" but then someone said that Dell suck and the 30" Samsung along with a calibrator is a better choice and this got me confused! But seriously is it guaranteed that the Ultrasharp is a solid choice no questions asked?

Also Eizo are supposed to be top notch but you got to be a millionaire in order to buy one!

Just looking at the 30" unltrasharp on the Dell website - they seem to have come down in price a lot since I last looked. Checking out the Samsung SM305T, they don't give enough useful information to be able to compare.

I've not had any problems with the Dell monitors before and would go for it myself. Worth checking around to see if anyone has done a proper comparison of them.

Thanx a lot man for digging this up. For some strange reason it seems like that guy was right about the samsung (?)

Quote from your link

And yet, in the first few tests, the Samsung 305T showed great results. Factory pre-calibration (the Dell has rather inaccurate initial colors), integrated USB hub, wider viewing angles than the previous generation of PVA panels…and then there was the big mistake, Samsung forgot one essential point: the only interface, the DVI input, isn't HDCP compatible. How will we read HD protected movies with this monitor?

I dont realy care about HDCP in this case, so i guess our winner is Samsung? Weird... Anyway that's probably better cause this particular model is easily accesible to my country ples i will combine it with a secondary 26 Samsung Monitor in order to have toolbars and panels leaving the primary one for a clean drawing Space!

BTW do you know anything about flashing quadro on a geforce card? That's a topic i've been reasearching lately, cause it would save me los of money. It seems that this was done frequently with older Quadro models and it would be great to pay 400 EUR and flash the card to a 5600 quadro!
