suggestions on a cpu and motherboatf (budget)

Okay I live in uk and I have an asus 660ti for xmas along with a 500w psu

I need a new motherbosrd along with a cpu for gaming id like to stick with amd but if you consider intel better to go with im happy for suggestions

I have a budget of £150-£170 but 200 at a push

Same as mine, haha. Board is good enough for overclocking, one of the best 970 boards for it, and with a nice CPU cooler.

Officially, a FX 6300 should work with that, but I would still replace it if at all possible. What cpu came in it?

because apparently my asus 660ti oc direct cu will be bottlenecked with that proccessor

Well that's not the best processor you could be using, but I think it would at least do alright for now. It's not completely terrible. You would definitely see a huge increase with a FX 6300 though.

Yeah that could work. I would personally rather do them both at the same time though, but that's just me. Otherwise, you're reinstalling your cpu an extra time. Not a big deal.

one last thing would u recccomend using stock fans untill my new board and then install the other fan ill be buying

That's really up to you. I hate stock fans, but they work at stock speeds. They just tend to be loud.
