Hi - The 2 components you are looking to upgrade are the weak links in your system. But, need to
know your budget. Wouldn't want to recommend a $350 GPU if you are looking to spend $200, same goes for
the PSU. You don't need more power, just better quality. So, what's your budget?

I would like to spend 450-500 total on them together. I did do a bit of research and am looking at a Corsair 850-I but if I could find something in the 700 watt range I feel thats enough and should save me atleast 100 bucks. As far as my video I was think maybe an R-9 of some type. I want to run 2 Ultra HD monitors so whatever works for that if it doesnt have to be that good of a card since mine is only GDDR3 I can see that as my weakest point. I feel like my power supply is holding back my system so I would start with that.

Maybe the RM-750 Which is only 129.99. That cuts my original price down 70 bucks and its gold rated compared to the one I have which seems to have no rating. Had I known from the start I would not have purchased the one I have but being the first build of my own I was dumb.

Hi again - Not only don't you need an 850w PSU, you don't need anywhere near 700w as long as
you're only going to use 1 GPU. A good 550w unit will run almost all single GPU systems, and a good
650w unit will run all modern single GPU systems.

So, I recommend the following:
http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/newegg/evga-video-card-04gp42978kr

http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/ncixus/xfx-power-supply-p1650bbefx - gold efficiency - modular

and if you want more than 650, then:
http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/ncixus/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr - bronze efficiency - modular

This keeps you below $450. The gtx 980 is over $500 so with PSU you'd be at $600.

The 970 is a very good card and an excellent value. You will see a significant increase in game fps performance,
like nite and day.

Hi - see my suggestions above. Supposedly Corsair has improved the RM series by changing
OEM's, but I'd still stay away from that series. The XFX & EVGA units linked above are
better quality and priced less.

Bear in mind, your sys with a gtx 970 needs only 500w, 28 +12v amps. The PSU's linked are far beyond
that.

Thankyou for the suggestion. I will go with the 650 W this way I have the power covered plus more. Will add another case for or 2 as well as some other storage drives as I am very big into video making and need lots of HD space. And I will surely be getting a video card of that capacity. Thanks again.

Enjoy!
