So I was watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt62JyJo1iU video and there's some stuff he was talking about that I'm just not familiar with in the BIOS. Such as Strap, BUS speed, etc. I know basic overclocking, but most of the time when I'm in the BIOS I'm tiptoeing around to make sure I don't screw something up.

So anyone know of a good source/place to learn about all that stuff without actually going and messing with it all. Like maybe a sticky type thread or youtube vid.
I have an Asus Maximus VII fyi.

Thanks.

What I did was go thru the BIOS and see what all the settings were and when there was something that I did not understand, I looked it up. If you mess something up up, all you have to do is set optimized defaults and then enable XMP profile 1 for your memory, save the setting and exit bios.
Every computer is different as is every component, its through trial and error that you get successful overclocks for your pc. The best place to learn about them honestly is just researching and reading different guides. That is where I learned most of it and through changing my own computers settings, this helps me really understand what each settings does and how to utilize them and when you need to.
