Solution
Ok thats fine, between the two systems, here is a comparison of both GPUs performance

Here is my final build taking into consideration both z4 and rcf's builds:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor ($99.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($66.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($71.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 270 2GB TurboDuo Video Card ($149.99)
Case: Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0...
$450? Not gonna happen. With around $550 it's possible. Check out this build I made for fun.

With the 270 u can play high BF4 1080p at 60 FPS constant I believe.

Here's a build suggestion that goes slightly over-budget, but accommodates most of your requirements.
Case: $27 - DIYPC MA08
HDD: $53 - WD Blue 1TB
PSU: $40 - EVGA 500W 80 Plus
Motherboard: $55 - Asrock B85
GPU: $100 - HIS 7870 2GB
RAM & ODD : $46 - Crucial 4GB & Samsung
OS: $68 - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Total (Excluding Rebates, Promo): 388 USD
Rebates & Promo: $10
GPU Performance : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-280x-r9-270x-r7-260x,3635-11.html
Now wrt CPU the option are:
Intel Pentium G3258 - $70 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2049606
Intel i3 4130- $120 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2049723
I'd suggest you choose based on your budget. But get it as a combo with RAM (Crucial 4GB)

Hope it helps :)

@Vergi, I agree u can go with a b85, but the one I listed is a good board for the price, which is not that much anyway. As for the RAM, 4GB is not enough, I checked around on the BF4 forum and people are struggling with 4 GB of RAM. In addition, RAM is just so cheap it doesn't even make any sense to buy only 4GB. Usually people who are on these "tight" budgets are just not willing to make some sacrifices or are over exaggerating (I know cuz I was one of them).

I'm not doubting the OP, what I'm trying to say is if you're gonna spend only $550 on a build u probably shouldn't even get one right away cuz at the end of the day u will end up spending $550 initially on a cheap underpowered build which will inevitably require a massive upgrade sooner than a more expensive, say $750-$850 build will. Therefore, instead of spending the $850 initially, u are spending that $550 + the price to upgrade a GPU, CPU, MoBo, PSU possibly, and maybe even case, which will just cost way more anyway. I'll tell u one thing, when I bought my current chair and desk I looked for the cheapest best thing and I totally regret it. My desk was $50 and my chair was $60 and now I can tell you that I feel cramped with this small desk and uncomfortable with this chair, but what can I do? I lost my $110 and I could've probably added an extra $100 to it and bought better products but now I have to spend more $$. Anyway at the end of the day it's ur decision, and I wish u best of luck with that :)

With such tight budget you can take "KingSaif"'s build and make the following changes:
1. Take only single 4GB DDR3 RAM instead of 2.
2. You can buy cheaper motherboard (Although I always recommend taking future upgrade connections/ports on the motherboard into account).
3. You can just remove the graphics card from the list and search for an used R9 270X on eBay/Amazon.

I don't understand why people recommending 4GB Ram. If anything, u shouldn't spend less on the memory. Also, don't buy used GPU. Some are used for bitcoin mining and then resold. I've also messed up on 2/4 orders on Ebay before from highly trusted sellers, so I won't recommend buying from them..up to u, OP.

he has very tight budget , so any 1$ can be important , if get a 4gb ram simply can increase it later , but for now can save a few $ .
any h81 mainboard are also good enough for amid range build , and if you already have mouse and keyboard use them till you save more money to buy new

yeah. 450 with os with a gpu is pretty much impossible. i built something that you might consider for 70 bucks more then the original 450:

im going to go with Athlon so I can get 4 cores

But is a good build for 450 really impossible? I think this is decent enough for him:

Anyone disagree? I would take this one over the Athlon x4 build. The i3's hyper threading is such a good thing to have. Even I wouldn't mind having this build.

yes but can It play skyrim and bf4 on a high setting

Haha no offense but this thread kinda cracks me up. First of all that budget is ridiculous. It's so unrealistic that it forces RCF, in an attempt to save $5, to opt for a 500GB HDD instead of a 1TB lmao,

Akalai take my advice bro, save an extra few bucks, get a nice looking case that u will be happy to look at and keep for years and years. Get a more powerful GPU because what's the point of getting a 750 Ti when a 270 costs like $20 more and a 270x isn't far ahead of it? I know you're on a budget but maybe u can wait a few weeks and save some extra dollars for a more healthy build. Also, u probably don't need an optical drive :)

im on a budget because I cant afford a crazy pc
I only have 158 dollars
I dont need a rly cool pc just one that gets the job done u know
I only wanted this because pc are better than console in some cases
I have a harddrive moniter keyboard mouse (peeps gave those to me)

I changed a few things, such as GPU. The 270 will be able to play BF4 on high settings 1080p at 63 fps avg while the 750 ti won't reach 60 FPS at that setting so it will feel laggy 🙁
The case I showed u is cheaper by like $20 and is better imo, also I removed the optical drive cuz there is no need for it. It's just wasting $14. Finally, and most importantly, I chose one of the best 450w power supply on the market cuz 450w is all a build with a 270 needs. If I had the 270 I wouldn't choose any other power supply but the Capstone (it's incredibly good, Gold rating, 5/5 star on newegg and high Tier power supply). Good luck :)

Honestly a PS4 would be a better choice and would last you much longer. The graphics of a PS4 are good. Battlefield 4 on PS4 looks amazing.

I have a PC and PS4 and honestly, I don't see a point of building a gaming pc until you reach the $600 range to be honest unless you absolutely have to have a pc. The graphics won't be any better and you will just get a shorter lifespan out of the PC. The games you want to play are going to run better on the console and will offer a better experience until you take the budget to the $600 range.

This is why I wouldn't recommend getting it. So lets say the time comes and you want to get a better GPU. All of you options that would prove a significant boost in performance won't quite work with your CPU because that i3 can't handle the faster cards. So there goes $250 for a new CPU, along with the $250+ (most likely going to be more if you are going to want to play these popular demanding games). But wait. There goes $500=. If you don't get a good enough PSU, you'd have to upgrade that too (not really an issue as a 550w isn't so expensive and you can start out with that or even 620w). So now your CPU is running hot because the low end case you bought has poor airflow, you can spend $25 for some more fans or a new cooler. So now we are at $525. Do you see where I am going with this? A PS4 at this price would have non of these issues. Sure you can't upgrade it, but unlike a low end gaming pc, the games are optimized for the hardware making it last much longer.

I like pc gaming, and I recommend it over consoles generally, but for a budget this low and for the games like Battlefield 4, you have to really dislike consoles to enjoy this over one.
