i found this gtx 980 on ebay for 60$

i just wan know if its fake because i never saw a gtx 980 with a vga port before -______-

would any 1 recommend that i buy it ?

i kinda knew that its a fake but i recently saw a video in youtube made by linus saying that the china market gets different video cards so i thought maybe this could be 1 of them

The gtx980 reference was 256bit, and default outputs are 1x dual-link dvi, 1x hdmi and 3x Display Ports. Those cards literally do not have the analog components needed for vga, they are all digital outputs. What that card is is a custom bios adaption of a gtx540 or similar ancient card with a made by the thousands shroud stuck on it, made in China.

The only thing accurate and believable about any of those cards like that is their claim to be gpus. Everything else is a lie.

It's not just a fake or scam, it's downright BS.

The GTX 980 did support an analog signal, usually via a DVI-I connector. Nvidia cards didn't dump analog till the 1000 series.

Oh, my bad, thought it was dual-link dvi-d, it's dual-link dvi-i. That kinda makes things even more obvious then, since USAFret's post is identical except for the port plastic color.
